The River Cleanup is back!
Our very own Little Tennessee River is one of the most diverse freshwater habitats in the temperate world. It provides a home to countless fish, mammal, amphibian, and invertebrate species, some of which are threatened or endangered. Unfortunately littering, illegal dumping, and other misuse has caused these waters to become congested with plastic bottles, tires, cans, and other junk. Join us for a half-day of conservation comradery to help create a safe and clean environment for all the creatures who enjoy these waters, from humans to hellbenders!
More details to come, but mark the date on your calendar and get ready for a day of friendship, fulfillment, free pizza, and a chance to win beer from Lazy Hiker! The rain date for this event is October 7th.
