An evening of avian education!
A delightful abundance of birds can be found in the towering tulip poplars, old growth oaks, hardy spruces, and sunny rock outcrops of Pinnacle Park. During springtime, vibrantly colored migratory warblers come back into town to nest for the season, or rest up for their journey farther north. In honor of World Migratory Bird Day (May 11th), join Skye at the Jackson County Public Library to learn about some of the birds you may encounter on your way to the Pinnacle, from resident Barred Owls that watch silently from their roosts to seasonal Scarlet Tanagers that sing from the treetops. This talk will run for about 50 minutes, with a Q&A session following the talk.
This talk is free and open to the public (though donations are always appreciated!) Registration is not required to attend. Email Skye with any questions.
