Highland’s Plateau Pickup

When: April 13, 2024 @ 8:30 am

CELEBRATE EARTH DAY BY CLEANING UP THE CULLASAJA GORGE

Help the Highlands Chamber of Commerce tidy up Highlands Rd, and end the day with a free lunch!

We will meet on Highlands Rd outside of Franklin, just before the intersection with Buck Creek Rd (approximately 35.127440, -83.281359, see the map below) at 8:30am on Saturday, April 13th. Volunteers will be assigned a section of road to pick up litter on. Duties involve carrying a trash bag along Highlands Rd while picking up trash like beer bottles, takeout containers, and plastic bags. After we finish around noon, we’ll complete the drive to Highlands for a free boxed lunch at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park.

To participate in a different part of the cleanup, contact the Highlands Chamber directly.

Volunteers will be given gloves, bags, grabbers, and orange safety vests.
