Swap seeds, supplies, and other goodies!

Spring and gardening season is just around the corner! Join us at Nocturnal Brewery to swap seeds, supplies, and other garden goodies before we step into March. Feel free to bring crop seeds, flower seeds or bulbs, pots, fertilizer, trowels, pruners, fencing, trellises, and any other garden-related items that you no longer need! We will provide a selection of native seeds through the WNC Wildseed Library to kick things off, including species that have not been available through our distribution sites at the Macon County Public Library and Jackson County Public Library.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required, but is recommended so that you receive a reminder email the day before the event. We will be inside Nocturnal Brewery (893 US-64 BUS, Hayesville, NC 28904) from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Thursday, February 26th; feel free to stay, chat, and enjoy a beer for the whole event, or drop-in as your schedule allows.

Email Alina at [email protected] with any questions!

Meet your organizer

As Mainspring’s Outreach Associate, Alina Martin aims to encourage the protection and appreciation of land by connecting communities to the birds, plants, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles that share our home here in the Southern Blue Ridge. Her adventures up and down the east coast have introduced her to a wide variety of habitats, and those experiences inspire her to continue nurturing her understanding of ecology. Armed with her identification knowledge and ever-increasing wonder, Alina leads a variety of educational programs here at Mainspring, and finds something curious and new each time. She is a life-long birder, all-around naturalist, and avid user of eBird and iNaturalist.
