What We Do

Since 1997, Mainspring Conservation Trust has been dedicated to three core initiatives in the heart of the Southern Blue Ridge: conserve the land, restore the water and connect the people to these valuable resources.

We work with communities, partners, landowners, and supporters toward a sustainable future for the region. Our vision includes:

  • Healthy landscapes where plants and wildlife can thrive and people can connect with nature;
  • Restoration and conservation ensure an abundance of healthy streams and clean water;
  • Productive local farms build economic vitality and sustainability in local communities;
  • Significant local places connect people to each other and their shared cultural heritage.
