Come celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with us!
Mainspring Board Chair, Highlands Biological Center Associate Director, and birder Jason Love is leading us on a dusk birding expedition through Tessentee Bottomland Preserve in honor of World Migratory Bird Day. We will amble through a diversity of habitats on this 1-2 mile walk, listening and watching for the many feathered friends that live here. Tessentee Bottomland Preserve is stop #53 on the North Carolina Birding Trail, with the current list at 129 species and counting!
This walk will take about 2 hours and is along a variety of trail types, from wide and flat to narrow and hilly. We will meet in the Tessentee Bottomland parking lot (2249 Hickory Knoll Road, Franklin, NC 28734) just before 6pm.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to attend. Email Skye with any questions. Please fill out the form below, then grab your binos and get ready for a fun evening of identifying birds by sight and sound!
