River Appreciation Day, Bryson City

When: August 27, 2026 @ 1:00 pm

Celebrate World Water Week with wacky wildlife!

Join Mainspring at the Appalachian Rivers Aquarium for a special showcase of native plants and animals that depend on clean, abundant water. In addition to the team at Appalachian Rivers Aquarium, naturalists from Mainspring will be present to introduce the critters, engage with visitors, and answer questions about our precious river habitats. Drop-in anytime during this event to meet the creatures!

This showcase will be available at the Appalachian Rivers Aquarium from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Thursday, April 27th. No registration is required, stop in whenever your schedule allows. This event is free and open to the public, though both Mainspring Conservation Trust and the Appalachian Rivers Aquarium appreciate donations of all sizes.
