When: June 6, 2026 @ 10:00 am

The WNC ASL Social Club invites Deaf, Hard of Hearing, CODA, interpreter, and hearing folks of all skill levels to this Silent Swim and Picnic at Queen Branch Preserve in Franklin. The club is run by Savita Adams, a Deaf ASL teacher who offers private tutoring and classes through Southwestern Community College, and her hearing student Skye Cahoon. During this meeting, we’ll be enjoying the beautiful outdoors and practicing our nature signs. This is not a formal guided walk.
This meeting will occur from 10am-12pm on Saturday, June 6th. This meeting is weather dependent.
Interested parties are encouraged to join the WNC ASL Social Club Facebook group or email list.
Note that this is not a Mainspring event, and WNC ASL Social Club meetings are spaces to socialize in ASL rather than formal structured classes. Meetings are free. Beginners are welcome and learning resources are provided to help guide your learning. Email Skye at [email protected] with any questions.
